At Cycle of Life Charity Funds, our mission is to support wildlife conservation efforts that create real, tangible change. One of our recent projects has been helping the Zululand Rhino Orphanage provide better care for their orphaned rhinos, and we are incredibly proud to share the impact of our latest contribution.
Providing Comfort for Orphaned Rhinos
Orphaned rhinos require specialised care to survive and thrive. One of the biggest challenges they face is finding a safe and comfortable place to rest. Due to their size and weight, sleeping on a hard concrete surface can cause painful pressure wounds that take a long time to heal. Before now, the orphanage relied on bales of straw to provide some cushioning, but this was not a long-term solution.
Thanks to the generous donations raised by our German charity, Cycle of Life e.V, we were able to purchase stable mats for the rhino orphans—an investment that is already making a significant difference in their health and well-being. These mats provide:
✅ Essential cushioning to prevent injuries and pressure sores
✅ A soft, supportive surface for better sleep and faster recovery
✅ A cost-effective solution, reducing the need for constant straw bedding
A Lasting Impact
This simple yet impactful change means that these vulnerable rhinos now have a comfortable and safe resting space, allowing them to grow stronger for their future in the wild. The stable mats are financially sustainable in the long run, helping the orphanage allocate resources to other vital areas of care.
Your Support Makes This Possible
This achievement wouldn’t be possible without the generosity of our supporters. Every donation to Cycle of Life Charity Funds contributes to projects like this—ensuring that orphaned rhinos receive the care they need and giving them the best possible chance at survival.
We are honored to be part of this journey and to continue working alongside Zululand Rhino Orphanage in their mission to rescue, rehabilitate, and release these incredible animals.
Thank you for believing in conservation and for making a difference.
Together, we are helping to build a future where rhinos can thrive in the wild.
