Manyoni Game Reserve, located in South Africa, recently hosted its first dehorning event sponsored by Cycle of Life Charity Funds. This event was aimed at protecting the reserve’s rhino population from poachers who target them for their valuable horns.

Dehorning is a process that involves removing the horns of rhinos to make them less attractive to poachers. This procedure is carried out by experienced wildlife veterinarians under controlled conditions to ensure the rhino’s safety.

In addition to the dehorning event, representatives from Cycle of Life Charity Funds also visited the rhino orphanage in Manyoni Game Reserve to discuss future collaboration between the two organizations. The orphanage is home to several rhinos who have been orphaned due to poaching, and the staff provides them with the care and support they need to survive.

The partnership between Cycle of Life Charity Funds and Manyoni Game Reserve is an important step in the ongoing fight against rhino poaching. By working together, these organizations can better protect rhinos and their habitats, as well as provide a safe haven for orphaned rhinos.

It is so important for us to preserve and protect our planet’s wildlife. The success of this partnership will depend on continued collaboration and support, and it is our collective responsibility to ensure that these efforts are sustained for generations to come.
