Hello lovely Simone!

Thank you ever so much – our trip to Ngala was truly beyond expectation – we were treated like royalty!!! We saw so many incredible things – I think my favourite was the 9 lion cubs with 2 magnificent lionesses we saw yesterday! Today we had an even bigger surprise….a rare appearance on the property of a pack of wild dogs – it’s our 15th wedding anniversary today so that really was a special present!!! We last saw wild dogs on our honeymoon at Londolozi so we felt incredibly lucky today! The leopard sightings were also breathtaking and we saw more elephants than I have ever seen in the space of 4 days!! So blessed. The boys absolutely loved every minute of it!!! Ross our ranger was absolutely incredible and we had him all to ourselves for 6 game drives!!! So lucky!!!

We absolutely loved Ngala – the new renovations are fabulous and the standard is so high – beautiful rooms, incredible food and such excellent service! We had one of the senior butlers called Moses and he was attentive beyond belief!

So all in all to sum up our 4 days…we all cried when we left this morning! We could have stayed indefinitely! It was a very special family time for us – the healing power of the bush really helped to ease somewhat the exhaustion and grief of this very tough sad time!

Thank you so much for arranging everything to perfection, Simone! We appreciate it so much! And a million thank you’s for the gorgeous bottle of Steenberg bubbly and the Ngala hats which was such a special touch – we wore them every day!!! Really appreciate your kindness and thoughtfulness!

The Endangered Species Centre was remarkable. Unfortunately it took us longer than anticipated to get there from Ngala and we hadn’t appreciated that it was part of the public daily tour which started at 10am – we only got there at 10.25 and the lady said we’d missed the tour. Eventually Tom talked her into giving us a quick one hour tour so we saw most things – although can you believe it – the one thing we’d come to see – the baby rhinos – were sadly not available for viewing!!!! They have just got a new female rhino and she is not used to vehicles or people so they are trying to get her acclimatised! So gutting but understandable. The cheetah certainly made up for it though – what incredible work they are doing there!

Hello Cycle of Life Family,

Cyrus and I cannot believe that it’s been nearly 4 months since our wedding and subsequent honeymoon. We intended to send you our feedback months ago, but we’ve been busy with work, the holidays and we got a puppy! Below is our official recommendation for Cycle of Life. Feel free to post it on your website, but please do not use our full names. Funny story, all but 13 bottles of our wine were confiscated in Dubai. We’re not sure why as we never officially entered the country or clear customs and Air Emirates refused to reimburse us for the cost. Might be good information for you with future clients who plan to return home with wine.

The Cycle of Life team was absolutely fantastic to work with. They helped us organize our dream honeymoon that included fine dining, wine tasting, hiking the dunes of Sossusvlei and safari. Not only were they incredibly responsive, but all recommendations were spot on. They organized all of our lodging as well as restaurant and winery reservations. Not only did we always have a table, but we had the best table in the house! They even went above and beyond storing our wine for us during our time in Namibia. We would love to return to Africa and when we do, we plan to work with the Cycle of Life team again. It was such a comfort to have someone to rely on when planning this important trip.

Some of the highlights of our trip include the scenic flight over Namibia and an elephant herd sighting (videos below).

Reaching the cost from the dunes –
Flying over the water, next to the dunes –
Elephant herd –

Thank you again for everything! We had a truly amazing trip.

Hi Simone
Firstly thank you very much for the Veuve – greatly enjoyed at the dinner cruise which, as I’m sure you’ll hear from Toni, was a great success. We kept looking at the other boats and thinking how much better off we were – only six other people at two tables and the rest of the boat was ours. Great crew, tons of space – all good.
Hotel the grand old lady we remembered – with some new bits – and the Ndebele staff still trained at the same charm school.
All went as planned – I spoke to Tich – the assistant manager and obviously a massive brute of a guy – about a room for Hannah the day before she arrived and, after much negotiation, we ended up with an extra room at minimal cost.
We all decided to go on the 9 zip line canopy tour on Saturday afternoon which was great, except for Jude and I when it turned out we had to scale the gorge to get back to the top. How we made it up I’ll never know. The rest of course had no problem.
Sat eve at the junction and Barbara, Jude and I waved off the rest on Sunday and went for a chopper ride over the falls, gorge and national park, followed by dinner at the Palm restaurant over the road at the Ilala lodge.

A truly memorable long weekend thoroughly enjoyed by all. My sister called it “the time of her life” and we could only agree.

Thank you very much for all your hard work, advice and assistance.

Tony xx

• Dear Simone and Rene

First and foremost, let me thank you from the bottom of my heart for an amazing and exciting programme.
Everything went off without one hitch, and my 7 forum members were impressed beyond belief.
The meals and wines were totally magnificent and enjoyed thoroughly by all.
The staff at the Abalone house hotel were extremely helpful and hospitable, in particular Leigh, who make every effort to make us feel welcome and satisfied.
The Masterchef cookoff was the most fun I have had in YEARS (despite being part of the team who came STONE LAST.)
I am very happy to be used as a reference (if needed) for any of your clientele in the future.
Thank you so much
It was fantastic

Dearest Simone and René,

Thank you both very much for the efficient service you gave us. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Franschhoek, and were delighted with the surprise birthday cake you organised to be presented to us!! It was a pleasure to have made our booking through The Cycle of Life!
